Ulf Johansson puts Halo on top in new campaign

Famed commercial director Ulf Johansson – Halo Top’s “Put Yourself On Top” campaign. Johansson, famed for his work with iconic brands like Old Spice and Mountain Dew’s infamous “puppybabymonkey” Superbowl commercial, has now turned his creative eye to ice cream and all the ways “self-care” has become just one more to-do.  

The new campaign from Halo Top – “Put Yourself On Top” – is a fun and quirky reminder that while there are lots of priorities in life it is perfectly healthy, and encouraged, to occasionally set aside obligations to put yourself first.

The omnichannel ad creative, concepted by LA-based Wolfgang, recognizes and brings a sense of humor to the tireless effort people put into making themselves better, and gives them permission to “Put Yourself on Top” once in a while. 

The campaign features two new TV spots “Bike” and “Treadmill” both directed by Johansson which highlight precariously stacked priorities capped with the ultimate serenity of better-for-you frozen dessert – reminding the consumer that the best self-care is whatever brings you happiness.
