Santa has been bitten by a zombie. Fortunately for TWIX, death apparently isn’t a reason to cancel the holidays. The candy brand is bringing back Zombie Claus as the face of Hallowmas, its mashup of Halloween and Christmas built around the idea that two holidays can be better than one.
The campaign comes from adam&eve\TBWA and returns for a second year with an even bigger dose of festive weirdness.
At the center of this Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired campaign is Zombie Claus, Santa’s reanimated corpse, who has two things on his undead to-do list: hand out plenty of TWIX and spread what the brand calls Hallowmas cheer.
The concept connects directly to TWIX’s long-running belief in the power of two. Just as the candy bar combines cookie and candy in one treat, Hallowmas smashes together Halloween scares and Christmas spirit into one deliberately unhinged seasonal celebration. Watch below:
“Hallowmas is rooted in the same belief that has always defined TWIX: when two things come together, they create something even better,” said Allison Miazga-Bedrick, Vice President of Marketing, Seasonal Portfolio at Mars.
She added that combining Halloween and Christmas through Zombie Claus allows the brand to deliver “twice the fun, fright and festive spirit,” while giving fans room to put their own spin on the idea.
This year’s campaign expands Zombie Claus beyond a single piece of content, with appearances planned both in person and across TWIX’s social channels throughout the season. Fans can follow the character across Facebook, TikTok, X, and Instagram as Hallowmas unfolds.
This seasonal territory fits TWIX particularly well. Halloween already belongs to candy, Christmas already belongs to Santa, and combining the two gives the brand a reason to stretch the holiday window while staying rooted in its “two is better than one” positioning.

And if Santa has to become undead to make that happen, so be it.
