Dave Chappelle apparently expected a little more chaos from Travis Kelce’s bachelor party. The comedian revealed during CNN’s Independence Eve broadcast that Kelce and his friends attended one of his sold-out shows in San Diego last month as part of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s pre-wedding celebration. But instead of the wild bachelor-party energy Chappelle may have expected, the group kept things surprisingly low-key.
“I was shocked, I had never seen anything like that,” Chappelle joked while speaking with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. “A wholesome bachelor party.”
He added, “Whatever makes you happy, Travis.”
Kelce reportedly traveled to California with a group of close friends ahead of his wedding to Taylor Swift, with one of the weekend’s stops being Chappelle’s June 21 show at Viejas Arena in San Diego.

Chappelle also joked that he was slightly offended not to receive an invite to the couple’s wedding at Madison Square Garden. “I heard he was getting married at Madison Square Garden,” Chappelle said. “You would think I could have got an invite, but I didn’t. I didn’t make the 15,000 closest friends.”
Swift and Kelce tied the knot Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York, with Kelce’s Happy Gilmore 2 co-star Adam Sandler officiating the ceremony.
The guest list reportedly included Lena Dunham, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, Hugh Grant, Haim, Selena Gomez, Chris Rock, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez, Michael Strahan, George Stephanopoulos, Stephen A. Smith, Tom Brady and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
Swift and Kelce skipped the traditional bridesmaids-and-groomsmen setup. Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor, while Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside him as Best Man.
“Taylor and Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen,” Swift’s spokesperson said in a statement. “Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
The couple wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture looks, designed by Jonathan Anderson in collaboration with the bride and groom. Their shoes were custom Christian Louboutin, while Swift wore Cartier jewelry.
Outside Madison Square Garden, a massive digital sign marked the occasion with the message: “JUST+T MARRIED!”
