Topgolf is doubling down on fun this fall. The brand today unveiled a new campaign, developed in partnership with creative agency of record Anomaly, that puts one message front and center: Topgolf has football.
The work debuts with two 15-second spots that hammer the point home with tongue-in-cheek humor and a deliberately over-the-top delivery. Building off the existing brand platform, “You’re Better Off at Topgolf,” the campaign highlights why Topgolf is the ultimate place to take in the game. Here you can watch football while playing the new Field Goal Challenge game, enjoy a gameday-ready menu, and catch every snap on TVs in every bay or at the bar.
Directed by François Lallier, the campaign’s matter-of-fact, brick-to-the-forehead tone makes the simplicity of the message part of the fun.
In “Kids,” a dad tries in vain to watch TV as his children wreak havoc in the living room. When their mom casually mentions, “Did you know Topgolf has football?” the dad bolts upright. Repeating the news in disbelief, he races down the street, hoisting a child in celebration. Watch below:
In “Cups,” a group of sports fans are mid-drink at a dive bar when a man calmly reading his newspaper announces, “Topgolf has football.” The bar falls silent as heads swivel, cups crash to the floor, and one stunned patron asks, “Topgolf has football?” The man confirms by shouting the line again, prompting a stampede as fans rush out the door.
Beyond the comedy, the campaign repositions the brand as a football destination, where players can enjoy the action of both golf and football under one roof. It underscores the brand’s value messaging, reminding guests they can make the most of offers like Sunday Funday and Half-Off Golf Sunday through Thursday.
“Topgolf has always been about bringing people together around play,” said a Topgolf spokesperson. “Now, with football, we’re making the experience even bigger, better, and more fun.”
The campaign launches today across linear TV, connected TV, online video, social, display, and programmatic channels.
