Innovative restaurant technology platform, Toast, has launched an exciting new campaign, “It’s the Little Things,” emphasizing the small details that make a big impact in the hospitality industry.
The campaign, created By Arnold, brings together celebrated culinary personalities, including Matty Matheson and Sophia Roe, to showcase how Toast helps restaurants deliver exceptional guest experiences while managing the intricacies of daily operations.
The campaign kicks off with a dynamic short film starring Matty Matheson, known for his humor and high-energy personality. The film, “One of Those Nights,” captures a high-pressure dinner service at Marea, an acclaimed Manhattan restaurant. Toast’s technology is put to the ultimate test as actors posing as diners flood the restaurant with complex, custom orders during peak service.
Despite the chaos, Marea’s team navigates the evening seamlessly, showcasing their skill and the reliability of Toast’s platform. Matheson, who uses Toast at his own restaurant, Rizzo’s House of Parm, praised the experience, saying, “Details matter. They can make or break anything, especially in restaurants. Watching Marea’s team stay on top of everything with Toast was incredible—and a lot of fun!” Watch below:
Marea’s Executive Chef PJ Calapa highlighted how Toast’s technology helped them maintain award-winning service despite the unique challenges. “We faced some wild requests—oysters without shells?!—but with Toast’s support, our team delivered the same level of hospitality we’re known for,” said Calapa.
Sophia Roe Explores Culinary Excellence in 2025 Video Series
Continuing the celebration of restaurant craftsmanship, Toast also partnered with Emmy-nominated chef and James Beard award-winning host Sophia Roe to create a 5-part video series. Launching in early 2025, the series will delve into the thoughtful details that make each restaurant and dish unique, from meticulously sourced ingredients to the perfect table settings.
“Every decision in a restaurant, no matter how small, contributes to the magic of the dining experience,” said Roe. “This series will spotlight the artistry and passion behind those decisions and celebrate the incredible people who make it all happen.”
The series will feature candid conversations with top industry leaders and will be available across Toast’s social media platforms in video and audio formats, offering fans and professionals alike a deep dive into the world of hospitality.
With insights showing that 85% of diners prioritize friendly and professional service, Toast’s campaign underscores its role as an essential partner for restaurants striving to deliver excellence. From streamlining operations to handling complex orders, Toast equips restaurant teams with the tools they need to succeed—even when the unexpected happens.
As the campaign unfolds throughout 2025, Toast continues to honor the “little things” that define great hospitality and support restaurants in their mission to turn everyday moments into unforgettable dining experiences.
