The Inspire Change platform from the NFL is continuing its run of purpose-driven storytelling with “You Are Special,” a cause-led spot centered on the power of being seen, valued, and supported.
Created by 72andSunny and inspired by the enduring warmth of Mr. Rogers, the film brings together Michael Strahan, Cam Heyward, and Christian McCaffrey with children from Harlem Children’s Zone, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and SMASH.
The group sings along to the iconic song You Are Special, turning a familiar message into a collective moment of affirmation. All three organizations are Inspire Change grant partners backed by the NFL. Watch below:
“‘You Are Special’ is a powerful expression of what Inspire Change represents,” said Sarah Bishop, Vice President of Global Brand and Consumer Marketing for the NFL. “It’s a reminder to young people everywhere that they matter. By using the influence of our players to spotlight the organizations working every day to break down barriers, this work builds toward a Super Bowl moment rooted in community and opportunity.”
The campaign has rolled out across key moments of the NFL postseason, using the league’s biggest stages to amplify its message. A 30-second Inspire Change version aired during Weeks 15 and 16, followed by a 60-second general cause spot that debuted during the NFL’s Christmas Day games and returned during the Conference Championship Games. A 30-second general cause version is set to air during the Super Bowl. Watch below:
Together, the placements underscore the NFL Family’s long-term investment in youth and communities nationwide. Since 2017, Inspire Change has committed more than $460 million to initiatives focused on education, economic advancement, police-community relations, and criminal justice reform across the U.S.
