Finally. Finally. Finally. Can I say it one more time? Finally. The Flash movie has officially begun production in the United Kingdom. Finally.

Director Andy Muschietti (IT, IT Chapter 2) has marked the first day of filming with a brief video showing off the title and imagery that feels very much like The Flash. We even get a tease of what might possibly be The Scarlet Speedster’s theme. Watch below:

Michael Keaton Confirmed

If the production news wasn’t good enough, how about this? The Wrap has confirmed that Michael Keaton (Spider-Man: HomecomingSpotlight) will indeed don the cape and cowl to reprise his role as the Dark Knight of Gotham.

The film will mark the first time in thirty years that Keaton last appeared as Bruce Wayne.

Ezra Miller will headline the feature as Barry Allen, with a supporting cast consisting of Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, newcomer Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Saoirse-Monica Jackson in an undisclosed role, Rudy Mancuso in an undisclosed role, and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman (2016).

Muschietti (ItIt Chapter Two) is directing the upcoming DC blockbuster, with a screenplay from Christina Hodson (BumblebeeBirds of Prey). Plot details remain locked away in the speed force, but the story is rumored to follow Barry as he travels back in time to prevent his mother’s untimely demise, which has disastrous consequences for the entire DC multiverse.

Finally.
