Chicago’s best in TV was present on Saturday for a festive night at The 64th Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards Gala.

Honorees and guests settled in at the Marriott Magnificent Mile for an evening of celebration, indulging in cocktails and dinner before the awards presentation.

Sultan A Salahuddin


The event was hosted by comedian Sultan A. Saladuddin II, a South Side native, co-creator, producer, writer and star of the HBO Max Comedy, South Side. Among the special honors of the evening, Reverend Jesse Jackson received the Board of Governors’ Citation. The Governors’ Award, the highest honor the TV Academy’s Board of Governors can bestow, was awarded to the Chicago/Midwest Chapter’s Immediate Past President Steven Novak for his service to the Chapter, its members, and the National Academy.
