Storefront Music Names Matt Nelson as Managing Director

Matt Nelson Storefront

Storefront Music, the original music, sound design, and audio-post company led by John “Scrapper” Sneider and Adam Elk, has appointed longtime music production executive Matt Nelson as its new Managing Director.

Nelson, most recently Executive Creative Producer at Yessian Music, brings extensive experience across audio post-production, music supervision, film and TV scoring, immersive audio, and branded content. His career has spanned both the agency and production sides, including leadership roles at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and Horizon Media, and service as National Board President of the Association of Music Producers.

“Matt’s presence and creativity give a boost to Storefront Music’s production abilities, allowing us to handle adventurous and complex modern advertising ideas,” said Sneider. Elk added, “Nelson joining our team is a milestone of growth. It’s exciting to see us already expanding into projects beyond traditional ad formats.”

As Managing Director, Nelson will focus on building Storefront’s advertising and branding business, following recent campaigns for Wells Fargo and BBDO New York (starring Steve Martin and Martin Short) and Princess Cruises with Terri & Sandy, featuring Hannah Waddingham performing a jazzy rendition of The Love Boat theme.

A New York native, Nelson studied at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, earning a bachelor’s in Music Engineering and a master’s in Trombone Performance. His credits include Coca-Cola’s Masterpiece, Wieden+Kennedy’s Sprite campaign with DRAM and LeBron James, and the immersive mix for the USA Pavilion at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka.

In film, he has produced scores for M. Night Shyamalan’s Old, Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things, and Heidi Ewing’s I Carry You With Me, and supervised music for Fanboy, which premiered at the 2025 Slamdance Film Festival.

“Joining Storefront is exciting in a lot of ways, but what appealed to me most was the opportunity to use the full breadth of my skills,” Nelson said. “There’s nowhere I can’t make an impact and no shortage of challenges to tackle. No two days or two projects are alike. It keeps me sharp and learning—it’s what I love about this industry.”

Reel 360 News wishes Matt the best of luck at Storefront.
