Hollywood officially kicked off awards season this morning with the announcement of the nominees for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes. The honors, often billed as Hollywood’s Party of the Year, return to CBS on Sunday, January 11, 2026, airing live from 8 to 11 PM ET and streaming on Paramount+.
Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall revealed the nominees during a press conference at the Beverly Hilton, marking a year that celebrates the best in film, television, and podcasting.
On the film side, Sentimental Value and One Battle After Another emerged as the year’s heavyweights, each scoring seven nominations across major categories including Best Picture, acting, directing and screenplay.
Close behind is Hamnet with six nominations, bolstered by recognition for Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal and director Chloé Zhao. Warner Bros. also landed a strong contender in Sinners, which matched Hamnet’s six nods with nominations for Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson. Rounding out the leaders is Netflix’s Frankenstein, earning five nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Oscar Isaac, and a directing nod for Guillermo del Toro.
Television had its own breakout stars, led by The White Lotus, which dominated with six nominations — including an astonishing five in supporting acting categories alone. Netflix’s Adolescence followed with five nods, securing a spot among the year’s top limited series contenders.
Returning powerhouse Severance collected four nominations across series and acting categories, matching the consistently popular Only Murders in the Building, which once again scored recognition for both Steve Martin and Martin Short.
The ceremony, produced by Dick Clark Productions and overseen by returning showrunners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment, will once again reach audiences in over 185 countries and territories. KPMG handled vote tabulation.
