Assembly has announced the addition of Senior Colorist, Maria Carretero to its growing team of high-profile artists.
Maria joins Assembly from Nice Shoes where she was a Senior Colorist, with a rich history of creative experience. Other previous roles include Senior Colorist at Framestore, Head of Color at Carbon VFX and Head of Color Grading at Serena Digital.
Maria’s diverse portfolio of work spans Cannes Lions award-winning commercial campaigns and Emmy, Tribeca, Sundance and Cannes Film Festival-winning long-form projects. She has a notable roster of blue-chip brand campaigns to her name, including recent work for Apple, Balenciaga, Porsche and Allstate, Super Bowl work for Michelob Ultra, Walmart and Avocados from Mexico, and legacy work for Jeep and Disney.

Originally hailing from Spain, where she discovered the power and nuance of Color Grading, Maria’s background in painting and fine art often influences her work on the screen. She has worked on acclaimed work across the globe, from Madrid to Stockholm, Istanbul, Dubai and the USA.

Launched in 2021, Assembly is a hybrid Post Production studio offering cloud and location-based services including VFX, Color Grading, Beauty, Offline Editorial and Dailies across advertising and entertainment work.
The studio’s creative highlights include work for brands such as Google, Smirnoff and Kit Kat in addition to longform entertainment work for Disney, A24 and Netflix.
