San Francisco Bay Coffee brews up a tasty whole bean campaign

SAn Francisco Coffee

The U.S. whole bean coffee market is heating up — projected to grow from roughly $8.2 billion in 2025 to nearly $13.9 billion by 2033. Riding that wave, San Francisco Bay Coffee, the responsibly sourced, family-run brand owned by the Rogers family, has reunited with its agency of record Cutwater for a bold new campaign celebrating its Whole Bean line.

Building on the success of the brand’s “One Small Sip for a Better Tomorrow” platform, and the award-winning launch of its certified commercially compostable OneCUP coffee pods, this new effort zooms in on what makes San Francisco Bay Coffee truly distinct: beans grown with care, purchased directly from farmers, and roasted with purpose.

At the heart of the campaign is a vibrant, fully animated film that captures the spirit of the brand with playful artistry and vivid color. The spot celebrates San Francisco Bay Coffee’s people-first approach — showing how direct relationships with farmers ensure fair pay, sustainability, and a richer, more flavorful cup.

The production was brought to life by Psyop and Wizz, under the direction of acclaimed duo Remus & Kiki. Music and sound were crafted by Storefront Music, giving the film an uplifting rhythm as dynamic as the visuals. Watch below:

The campaign rollout is just as expansive as its visuals. The media plan spans linear TV, digital video, paid social (Meta and Reddit), terrestrial radio, streaming audio, digital out-of-home, and paid search. The target: environmentally conscious coffee lovers across California, Oregon, and Washington — key markets where sustainability and taste go hand-in-hand.

Cutwater’s integrated approach once again brings humanity to a category often dominated by corporate players and empty taglines. The creative underscores that when it comes to coffee, doing good and tasting good aren’t mutually exclusive.

Because for San Francisco Bay Coffee, a better tomorrow starts with one small sip and one truly great bean.
