In a nostalgic and star-studded moment, the 2024 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards witnessed the reunion of the iconic trio from The Devil Wears Prada – Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt.
The reunion took center stage as they came together to present the award for Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series to Jeremy Allen White for his role in The Bear.
The 2006 comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada has become a cinematic classic, with Streep’s portrayal of the formidable Miranda Priestly, Hathaway’s role as the wide-eyed Andy Sachs, and Blunt’s memorable performance as the sharp-tongued Emily Charlton.
Streep, adorned in a burgundy Prada gown, kicked off the presentation, adding a touch of humor by jokingly tripping over the microphone stand. “Two things, I forgot my glasses and the envelope,” she quipped, as Blunt and Hathaway joined her on stage, holding the missing items.
The banter continued as Streep pondered the age-old question of where the actor ends and the character begins, only for Blunt to interject humorously, likening Streep to her iconic character, Miranda Priestly. Streep, ever the consummate professional, playfully denied the resemblance, prompting Hathaway to jump in with one of the film’s most memorable lines.
The reunion culminated with Blunt delivering another classic line from the movie, reminding fans of the film’s enduring legacy and witty dialogue. “By all means, move at a glacial pace. You know how that thrills me.” Watch below:

While Blunt was nominated for Best Supporting Female Actor for her role in Oppenheimer, it was Da’Vine Joy Randolph who took home the award for her performance in The Holdovers. However, Blunt and her Oppenheimer co-stars celebrated a victory as they clinched the night’s biggest prize for Outstanding Ensemble Cast.
The Devil Wears Prada reunion was not the only heartwarming moment of the night, as other casts, including The Lord of the Rings and Breaking Bad, also came together to present awards, adding to the evening’s sense of camaraderie and celebration of talent in the entertainment industry.
