Ro makes Super Bowl debut With Serena Williams

Ro

Ro is stepping onto the Super Bowl stage for the first time with a national commercial starring Serena Williams, marking the launch of its new “Healthier on Ro” campaign focused on the real-world health benefits of GLP-1 medications.

Airing during the Big Game, the spot centers on Williams’ personal health journey as a Ro patient. In the commercial, she speaks candidly about the improvements she’s experienced since starting GLP-1 treatment, including significant weight loss and measurable gains in key health markers such as cholesterol, blood sugar stability, and joint health. According to Ro, Williams has lost 34 pounds over the past year, reduced stress on her knees, and improved several biomarkers to levels better than those recorded at the end of her professional tennis career. Williams’ experience reflects broader outcomes reported by Ro patients, many of whom see meaningful health improvements beyond the scale. Ro notes that while GLP-1 medications are often associated with weight loss, patients frequently experience reductions in cholesterol, improved cardiovascular risk profiles, and increased energy and mobility.

“I feel better now than I have in years,” Williams said. “This journey has been about feeling strong, energized, and healthy in my body again. Being on Ro helped me focus on my health in a way that actually worked for me, and I’m excited to share that experience during the Super Bowl.”

Williams first partnered with Ro in August 2025, helping normalize conversations around GLP-1 treatment and encouraging people to explore whether the medication could be right for them. The Super Bowl commercial builds on that partnership at a time when GLP-1 options are expanding, including both injectable and oral treatments, with broader access and lower costs than in previous years.

“There is no one with more discipline and drive than Serena Williams, which is exactly why she’s such a powerful voice in this conversation,” said Ro co-founder and CEO Zach Reitano. “Her story helps people understand that GLP-1s aren’t shortcuts—they’re tools that can support real health progress.”

The “Healthier on Ro” campaign also features fellow Ro ambassador Charles Barkley, alongside everyday patients whose stories highlight the diversity of outcomes possible through personalized GLP-1 care. These include runners, parents, and cyclists who have lost significant weight while gaining mobility, endurance, and confidence.

The campaign will roll out nationwide across broadcast, digital, social, and out-of-home media throughout 2026, reinforcing Ro’s mission to expand access to personalized, patient-first healthcare.
