Rethink is leveling up its production game, naming Jon Legere as its first-ever Chief Production Officer as the independent agency continues its rapid growth.
Based in New York, Legere will oversee production across North America, working closely with Global Chief Operating Officer and Partner Caleb Goodman. The move signals a broader push by Rethink to expand and formalize its production capabilities across advertising, PR, and design as the agency’s work scales across platforms and formats.
Legere’s mandate is clear: build a more integrated, flexible production model that makes ambitious creative easier to execute without slowing things down. His hire also marks the beginning of a larger evolution for Rethink’s production offering, with additional investments and expanded capabilities expected in the months ahead.
“Jon is one of the few leaders who has successfully built high-quality production at scale within an independent agency,” Goodman said. “As Rethink continues to grow, his leadership will help us push what’s possible for our clients and our teams while protecting the culture that defines us.”
Legere joins from Anomaly, where he spent 14 years and launched Unreasonable Studios, the agency’s production arm. There, he led large-scale content systems and studio operations, blending storytelling, technology, and modern production workflows. Prior to that, he worked at Rokkan, helping develop integrated production models across film, digital, and experiential campaigns. His work has earned recognition from Cannes Lions to the Emmys.
For Legere, the appeal of Rethink was its independence. “Rethink has built a reputation for bold, effective work,” he said. “Its commitment to ideas and culture is rare, and that kind of freedom is critical to the future of production. It allows us to move faster and stay agile without compromising the quality of the work.”
Outside the agency world, Legere is also an accomplished mixed-media artist, creating vibrant, chaotic collages, sculptures, and installations inspired by his Bermuda roots. His work has been exhibited internationally, from London and Berlin to Miami, Los Angeles, and New York.
With Legere stepping into the role, Rethink is making it clear: production isn’t just support anymore. It’s central to the idea.
Reel 360 News wishes Jon the best of luck at Rethink.
