Let’s meet Eve!
What’s your Origin Story?
I was born in London and grew up in different parts of the world—Boston, Africa, and New York City—each place shaping the person I am today. My love for acting started early in high school when I performed in plays, but after college, I took a different route. I worked for some incredible companies like American Express and Macy’s Advertising, where I learned a lot about the business world. It wasn’t until about 10 years ago that I felt the pull to return to acting.
I knew that it was time to follow my true passion, and so I dove back into the creative world. It wasn’t an easy transition, but it was necessary. Since then, I’ve been on a journey of growth and transformation, both professionally and personally.
My experiences in various industries helped me develop a unique perspective on storytelling, and today, I’m using that to connect with others—whether it’s through my roles, my podcast, or the work I do with various organizations. It’s been a road of resilience, and I’m only just getting started.
What did you want to be as a kid
As a child, I always dreamed of being an actress. The idea of bringing stories to life and connecting with others through powerful performances felt like my true calling. But growing up in a family where both my parents were in the legal profession, I was encouraged to pursue a stable career, one that would ensure security.
They hoped I’d become a lawyer. For a while, I tried to fit that mold, but deep down, I knew I couldn’t ignore the pull of my passion. It took time, courage, and a leap of faith, but I ultimately followed my heart back to acting.
The journey wasn’t always easy, but it’s taught me that sometimes, we have to break free from the expectations of others to truly live our purpose. Now, I inspire others to follow their own dreams, no matter the obstacles, because I know firsthand the power of trusting yourself and choosing the path that makes your soul come alive.
How did you choose your career path?
Choosing my career path wasn’t an overnight decision—it was a journey of discovering what truly made me feel alive. Growing up, I always had a love for storytelling and acting, but life took me down a different road for a while. I worked in corporate settings, with jobs that were stable and provided security, but deep down, I always knew something was missing. It took me some time to realize that my heart wasn’t fully in the conventional path I was on.
I felt a calling to return to acting, to pursue the creative work that had always lit me up. The decision wasn’t easy, and there were fears and doubts along the way, but I knew that I would regret it if I didn’t at least try. In the end, I chose a path that felt authentic to who I truly am. It’s not always been smooth sailing, but every challenge has been a reminder that passion and purpose are worth the risks.
Today, I’m more than just an actress—I’m someone who’s constantly evolving, pushing boundaries, and inspiring others to follow their own unique path, no matter where it leads. And I wouldn’t change a thing.
Describe your creative process.
My creative process is deeply influenced by my diverse upbringing across London, Boston, Africa, and New York City. These varied environments have enriched my perspective, allowing me to draw from a wide range of cultural experiences. When approaching a new project, I immerse myself fully, seeking inspiration from the world around me. I believe in the power of observation and understanding the nuances of human emotion and interaction.
This approach enables me to bring authenticity and depth to my work, whether I’m acting, producing, or engaging in philanthropic endeavors. Collaboration is also a cornerstone of my creative process. Working with diverse teams and individuals introduces new viewpoints and challenges me to think beyond my own experiences. This collaborative spirit not only enhances the quality of the work but also fosters a sense of community and shared purpose.
Ultimately, my creative process is about staying true to my passion and purpose. It’s about embracing the journey, learning from each experience, and using those lessons to inspire and uplift others. Creativity, to me, is a continuous evolution—a dance between the past, present, and future—that reflects the ever-changing nature of life itself.
Who inspires you?
My mother was my first and most profound inspiration. Her unwavering strength, compassion, and resilience shaped the person I am today. Even though she has passed away, her spirit continues to guide me in all my endeavors.
Oprah Winfrey’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a media mogul and philanthropist is a testament to the power of perseverance and purpose. Her ability to connect with people and inspire change resonates deeply with me.
Malala Yousafzai’s courage in the face of adversity is nothing short of remarkable. Her unwavering commitment to education and women’s rights, even after surviving an assassination attempt, serves as a powerful reminder of the impact one individual can have on the world.
These women exemplify strength, resilience, and the transformative power of following one’s passion and purpose. They inspire me to continue pursuing my dreams and to use my platform to make a positive impact.
The most unconventional risk you’ve taken in your career.
One of the most unconventional risks I took in my career was leaving a stable corporate job to pursue acting full-time. After years in the corporate world, I felt a strong pullback to my passion for storytelling. Making the leap to Los Angeles to fully commit to acting was a significant risk, but it was a decision that aligned with my true calling.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working on over 30 independent films, portraying strong, empowered women. One of the highlights of my career is my upcoming role in A Line of Fire, an action thriller set for release in Spring 2025, where I share the screen with talented actors like David A. R. White who is also one of the producers and lead actor, Cuba Gooding Jr., Jason Patric, Scott Biao, and Katrina Bowden.
Taking that risk not only transformed my career but also reinforced the importance of following one’s passion, even when it meant stepping into the unknown.
Give us a story that’s true but sounds like a lie.
In 2023, I was cast in two roles—nurse and neighbor—in a stage production of A Streetcar Named Desire. During the rehearsal period, I experienced the loss of my father, which required me to take time off to attend his funeral. This unexpected absence posed a challenge for the production, as there were no immediate plans for a replacement.
Despite the disruption, the director and the rest of the cast were incredibly supportive. They ensured that the production continued smoothly in my absence. Upon my return, I was able to resume my roles, and the show proceeded successfully. This experience underscored the importance of community and adaptability in the theater world. It also highlighted the resilience of the cast and crew, who worked together to navigate the challenges that arose.
When faced with setbacks, what keeps you going?
When faced with setbacks, I draw strength from my upbringing and the unwavering support of my family and friends. Growing up in a family where both my parents were in the legal profession, I was instilled with core values of justice, integrity, hard work, and a deep commitment to giving back to the community.
These values have influenced my character and served as a compass for me both personally and professionally. Additionally, I find inspiration in the stories of others who have overcome adversity. Through my podcast, The Discovery Pod with Eve, I share these stories, believing that hearing about others’ challenges and triumphs can motivate and uplift us all. Ultimately, my passion for storytelling and my commitment to empowering others keep me moving forward, even in the face of challenges.
Linus has his blanket for comfort, you have...
When faced with setbacks, I find comfort in my favorite color, pink. Seeing it on the cover of a recent project made it even more special. Additionally, I cherish a particular blanket that feels like a warm embrace, providing me with comfort during challenging times. These personal items serve as reminders of the love and support that surround me, helping me stay grounded and resilient.

Additionally, I will reprise my role as Victoria Curry in the critically acclaimed series Surviving the Cartel, further solidifying my status as a versatile actress.
Beyond my acting endeavors, I am honored to announce the upcoming release of my book, a tribute to my mother and the lessons I’ve learned since her passing. Writing it has been emotional but so rewarding. The book is set to be published in 2025.
In connection with the book, I am also working on a docufilm that will delve deeper into my journey, reflecting the personal and emotional story behind the pages. This docufilm will offer a more intimate look at my life, my mother’s impact on me, and the lessons I’ve learned, bringing a unique layer of storytelling that resonates with viewers on a profound level. These projects reflect my dedication to storytelling and my commitment to empowering others through my work.
