Ray-Ban Meta, Victoria Monét bring listening lounge to ComplexCon

Ray Ban Meta Victoria Monét

Ray-Ban Meta is giving ComplexCon attendees an early listen – and an early look. Meta is partnering with Complex to create an interactive Ray-Ban Meta listening lounge at ComplexCon in Los Angeles this weekend, offering fans the chance to experience the new Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses before they officially hit shelves Oct. 13.

The activation, running Oct. 3-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, centers on Grammy-winning artist Victoria Monét and her new album, Frequency of Love. Attendees can borrow a pair of the new glasses, settle into the lounge, and listen to Monét’s album through the eyewear’s open-ear audio system.

Monét will take the experience a step further Sunday, joining fans for a Q&A and private silent listening session from noon to 1 p.m. The lounge itself will remain open to ComplexCon attendees from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. Visitors will also have a chance to win tickets to see Monét in concert.

“Sound is the most important and loved feature of our glasses, so much so that we built an entire new category featuring iconic styles from Ray-Ban,” Dave Kaufman, senior director of marketing at Meta, said. “We’re excited to bring music fans a first-of-its-kind experience with Victoria Monét’s new album and experience the glasses before they are available on sale.”

The experience positions the product less as a traditional tech demo and more as a music and culture activation, putting attendees directly inside the use case Meta wants them to imagine: listening without headphones while remaining connected to their surroundings.

The new Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses feature open-ear sound and Meta AI, and will be offered in Ray-Ban’s Clubmaster and Burbank frame styles. Prices start at $349. Pre-orders are available during ComplexCon ahead of the Oct. 13 retail launch.

For Meta, the partnership also places the newest generation of its wearable technology inside one of the year’s biggest intersections of streetwear, music, art and youth culture – with Monét providing the soundtrack.
