Public Label has announced the appointment of three new senior hires in Canada: Lynn Sivec as director of strategy; and Tim Binkley and Marjorie Mackenzie as senior account directors.

The executives will work across the agency’s Canadian client roster, which includes Scotts Miracle-Gro, Church & Dwight and Mars. Sivec will report to Josh Baze, EVP Strategy North America, while Binkley and Mackenzie will report to Anne Dean, GM/SVP, Marketing Solutions.

“We are thrilled to have Lynn, Tim and Marjorie join our talented and growing team in Canada,” said Dean. “Lynn is passionate about uncovering insights and digging deep into culture to untap new opportunities for brands, while Tim and Marjorie are seasoned client leaders with trusted relationships and the ability to drive business results. Their collaborative and purpose-driven leadership is a perfect fit for our agency and will be invaluable to our clients in the months ahead.”

Lynn Sivec, Director of Strategy

Sivec joins the team from Public Inc, a Canadian social impact agency where, as senior director, client strategy, she worked with clients including Sephora, Canadian Mental Health Association and U.S. Soccer Foundation.

Sivec also held stints at Zig Inc. (now CP+B Canada) where she was a senior strategy planner working across agency clients such as Unilever and Best Buy; and Ogilvy & Mather, where she was group account director for IBM Worldwide, IBM Canada, and Dove. While at Ogilvy, Sivec worked under the leadership of Shelley Lazarus (Ogilvy) and Lou Gerstner (IBM) to help turn the IBM business around. She has been honored with prestigious awards including a Cannes Lion and Strategy’s Agency of the Year.

An avid traveler, Sivec has been to Bali, Galapagos, Iceland, Maldives, and Vietnam, to name a few. At home, she enjoys cooking, knitting, moviegoing and hanging out with her 13-year-old labradoodle Oliver.

Tim Binkley, Senior Account Director

As an accomplished brand marketer and team leader at Fortune 500 companies and world-class creative agencies, Binkley applies his brand leadership skills to helping brands strengthen their performance and social impact.

His career has spanned both agency and client-side, including roles at Leo Burnett, DDB Canada (Downtown Partners), Publicis, Dentsu and within the marketing team at RBC. During his career, he has worked with a variety of major brands including P&G, Pillsbury, Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, Budweiser/Bud Light, Samsung and more.

The brands he has managed have been recognized by nearly every major award show including Cannes Lions, One Show, London International, Marketing Awards Canada, Cassies Canada, Pinnacle Awards Canada and the USA Today Ad Meter (#1 Super Bowl commercial for Budweiser “Good Dog”).

Passionate about sports and the great outdoors, in his spare time Binkley enjoys ice hockey, downhill skiing and playing rugby with his two sons, a sport he discovered while living in Sydney for four years.

Prior to Public Label, Mackenzie was senior director, design strategy at Astound Group where she utilized the cognitive sciences to inform design decisions and promote deep, unconscious connections between humans and brands.

Before that she was VP, retail at Figure3, one of Canada’s most distinguished interior design firms and earlier in her career held account management roles at Pigeon, Perennial Inc. and HMG Worldwide/HMG Griffith.
