Producers Guild of America crowns ‘One Battle After Another

One Battle After Another

The Producers Guild of America handed out top honors at the 37th Annual Producers Guild Awards at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, celebrating excellence across film, television, and streaming.

In theatrical motion pictures, One Battle After Another took home the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer. The animated feature prize went to KPop Demon Hunters, while My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay won in the documentary category.

On the television side, The Pitt claimed the drama series award, The Studio won for comedy, and Adolescence earned the limited or anthology series honor. In competition and game television, The Traitors emerged victorious.

Special honors were presented to Amy Pascal, who received the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; Jason Blum, honored with the Milestone Award; and Mara Brock Akil, who accepted the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television.

The evening drew a who’s who of Hollywood talent including Adam Scott, Chloé Zhao, Claire Danes, Elle Fanning, Emma Stone, Greta Gerwig, Jacob Elordi, Jessie Buckley, Joachim Trier, Josh Safdie, Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton, Odessa A’zion, Paul Mescal, Paul Thomas Anderson, Regina Hall, Seth Rogen, Teyana Taylor, Timothée Chalamet and Wagner Moura.

The ceremony also featured comedic moments, including Ike Barinholtz reading from a satirical children’s book titled The Very Hungry Manager, which humorously detailed the daily chaos producers navigate. Comedian Gabe Gibbs performed an original song about the one essential trait every producer needs: belief.

Additional winners included John Candy: I Like Me for televised or streamed motion picture, Pee-wee as Himself for non-fiction television, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in live entertainment and talk television.

Previously announced category winners included Formula 1: Drive to Survive for sports program, Sesame Street for children’s program, Adolescence: The Making of Adolescence for short form program, and The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, which received the PGA Innovation Award.

The PGA Awards are widely regarded as a key industry bellwether heading into the final stretch of awards season, honoring the producing teams behind many of the year’s most talked-about projects.
