OREO: Crop circles offer aliens peaceful welcome

OREO
(A new kind of crop circle)

Ahead of the June 27th UFO (unidentified flying objects) disclosures to congress, OREO prepared a little welcome gift for its new friends—a peace offering in the form of Earth’s #1 cookie.

Obviously, the right way to reach them was by crop circle. So, MediaMonks made one in the middle of Kansas, along the ‘supernatural highway’, which is known for UFO sightings.

Then, OREO asked fans to join in. Via Twitter, they helped create the perfect offering by voting on what went into the crop circle to make it the best possible OREO eating experience. They voted Double Stuf Oreos, Whole Milk & eating it in your bedroom.

Poll 1— Which type of OREO cookies should we offer to the aliens?

  • Original
  • Double Stuf—winner, with a video to announce it!
  • Golden
  • Thins

Poll 2— What kind of milk should we set up for dunking? (We *are* milk’s favorite cookie, after all.)

  • Whole—winner, with a video to announce it!
  • Oat
  • Almond

Poll 3— Where is the best place to eat an OREO Cookie? We need to think ambience here.

  • Dining Room
  • Living Room
  • Bedroom—winner, with a video to announce it

Then, it happened… while OREO were sleeping on Wednesday night, Aliens made contact—someone or something came, took the OREOs and left an imprint behind. And all the things that OREO fans voted on, from the type of cookie to the milk and bedroom, were in the crop circle.

To finish, the brand released a limited-edition pack so people can make their own Offerings, and packs were snatched up in a few hours.

The Reel 360 team will be having a close encounter of the delicious kind with OREO after we are done with this article.
