One Battle After Another wins Best Picture at LAFCA

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) has named One Battle After Another as Best Picture of the Year, the organization announced today. Robert Abele, president of LAFCA, praised the strength of the year’s cinema, noting that the winners represent a wide span of artistic achievement and perspectives.

“It’s been a stunning year for movies of all kinds, and we’re thrilled to have a group of winners that reflect that breadth of cinematic artistry and perspective,” Abele said. “When we gather at the historic Millennium Biltmore on Jan. 10, 2026, for our banquet, it’ll be an honor to celebrate these wonderful films and filmmakers.”

The group will honor the recipients at its annual awards banquet on January 10, 2026, at the Millennium Biltmore. LAFCA previously announced filmmaker Philip Kaufman as the recipient of its 2025 Career Achievement Award.
