Novo Nordisk enters the Super Bowl spotlight for the first time this year with a Big Game commercial introducing Americans to the FDA-approved Wegovy pill, the first and only oral GLP-1 medication for weight loss. The campaign, titled “A New Way to Wegovy,” uses humor and familiar faces to challenge stigma around obesity treatment and reframe weight management as a medical conversation rather than a moral one.
Airing during Super Bowl LX, the spot features Kenan Thompson, DJ Khaled, Danielle Brooks, Ana Gasteyer, John C. Reilly, and Danny Trejo, inviting viewers to rethink long-held assumptions about how people approach weight loss. Wegovy pill is prescribed alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for adults with obesity, or overweight adults with related medical conditions, to help them lose weight and keep it off. Watch below:
“Millions of people are curious about weight-management medicine but are waiting for an option that works for them,” said Ed Cinca, senior vice president of Marketing and Patient Solutions at Novo Nordisk. “Wegovy pill brings a once-daily, clinically proven option backed by science, and the Super Bowl gives us a rare opportunity to start an honest, stigma-free conversation at scale.”
DJ Khaled echoed that message in the campaign, noting that even with discipline and consistency, results are not always guaranteed. He said the medication offers an option for people who are putting in the work but still not seeing the outcomes they want.
Wegovy pill is now broadly available through more than 70,000 U.S. pharmacies, including CVS and Costco, as well as select telehealth providers such as Ro, LifeMD, and Weight Watchers. With a prescription, the starting dose is available through a self-pay offer for $149 per month, with additional savings available for eligible insured patients.
