Nice Shoes adds CD Adam Liebowitz

NYC-based creative studio Nice Shoes has announced the hire of Adam Liebowitz as Creative Director of Editorial, marking the official launch of a dedicated creative editorial division, with a roster of editorial talent led by Executive Producer Tara Holmes. Liebowitz comes to Nice Shoes after two decades at his own successful editorial studio, Go Robot!

The division has grown in reaction to evolving client needs, adding a highly curated slate of creative editors to complement Nice Shoes’ lineup of top level artists and producers. The roster of editorial talent will work across Nice Shoes’ global network of interconnected offices in NYC, Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis and Boston.

Liebowitz’s career has led him to cut projects for such top clients as Apple, IBM, UPS, AT&T, Verizon, FedEx, Nike, and Nascar. His work has earned him recognition from Cannes Lions, AICP, Clios, AICE, and London Film Awards, among numerous others. Liebowitz approaches each project with a focus on creative collaboration and storytelling, shifting his editing style to reflect the creative vision of a given project.

“Adding Adam to our team is the culmination of our efforts thus far to establish a high level editorial offering for our clients,” says Holmes. “His artistry and experience is invaluable, and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the team to elevate and expand this division further.”

“Nice Shoes is constantly evolving to adapt to industry shifts and the needs of their clients,” adds Liebowitz. “I’m thrilled to be a part of their latest step to offer comprehensive, high-end visual solutions and integrated workflows to agencies and brands.”

In addition to Liebowitz, the international roster features creative editors with backgrounds across multiple genres, including Marcos Castiel, Rami D’Aguiar, Colin Loughlin, John Maloney, Michael Reuter and Dan Suter.

Nice Shoes has leveraged its integrated internal creative offerings on a number of recent projects, including a Gillette spot cut by Rami D’Aguiar, AAA and Lipton spots edited by Marcos Castiel, an eBay spot from Michael Reuter, as well as two Verizon Visible campaigns edited by Colin Loughlin, both of which engaged the artistry of Nice Shoes’ VFX, design, and color teams.

The growth into a dedicated editorial division comes on the heels of adding two new colorists: Maria Carretero in New York, and Yulia Bulashenko in Toronto, as well as Executive Producer Kirsten Anderson in Boston.

Both Holmes and Managing Director Justin Pandolfino have been instrumental in this strategic growth, adapting to industry shifts and expanding client needs across advertising, entertainment, experiential and emerging technology.
