
The NFL is rolling out a global marketing campaign that treats fans like part of the team. “Fan Like A Pro,” developed by YARD NYC, features seven individual spots that pair NFL players — and a standout athlete from the U.S. Women’s Flag National Team — with real-life fans celebrating together on and off the field.
Shot by Brooklyn-based director Hannan Hussain, the work leans into high-energy, intimate moments. Hussain’s kinetic style — most recently on display in his music video for Clipse — matches the campaign’s premise: fandom as performance, community and personal expression.
The player roster spans both coasts and multiple divisions: DeAndre Hopkins (Baltimore Ravens), Christian Gonzalez (New England Patriots), Keon Coleman (Buffalo Bills), Jordan Mailata (Philadelphia Eagles), Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions), Ricky Pearsall (San Francisco 49ers) and Ashlea Klam from the U.S. Women’s Flag National Team. Six influencers known for their team-centric followings also appear alongside more than 60 styled fans. Watch below:
Beyond the cast, “Fan Like A Pro” functions as a fashion play for NFL Shop. The spots spotlight a broad range of looks — retro jerseys, letterman jackets, casual sweats and team-themed accessories — styled by celebrity stylist Tiffani Williams. The aim is to show how fans can represent their clubs authentically across the season, whether it’s tailgate, watch party or weekday wear.
“Each film in our campaign captures a specific element of being a fan,” said Ruth Bernstein, CEO of YARD NYC. “Whether it’s the anticipation of a big game, or the fun of family game day — it’s all about celebrating the role real fans and their style play in the NFL. And who better to speak to it than the players themselves.”
“NFL Shop is an integral part of the fan experience, providing fans around the world with a vast variety of apparel and accessories to show their team pride, as well as their personal style,” added Tim Ellis, NFL chief marketing officer. “We featured notable influencers who are real-life fans alongside some of our top NFL players to underscore the fact that NFL Shop has something for everyone, just like our game.”
The first spot, “Fan Out Loud,” premiered during the NFL Kickoff on September 4 when the Dallas Cowboys faced the Philadelphia Eagles. Additional films — including “Anticipation” and “In The Lineup” — will roll out across the 18-week regular season. Media spans broadcast and cable, streaming, international outlets and social platforms.
