The NFL is ready with new anthem spot

nfl-72-sunny

Thank god football is back.

Even though my wife has now become a New England Patriots (blecch) fan due to her crushing on Julian Edelman, I am still overwhelmed with joy (after the disappointment of my Phillies) that my “chill” Sundays are about to become meaningful again.

And who better than 72andSunny’s Los Angeles office to create an NFL campaign that taps into the deep love we fans have for the game’s 100th season.

Titled, ‘We Ready,’ the NFL captures the fan and player passion that lives everywhere from locker rooms and fields to face paint and tattoos, even to dances and chants.

Showcasing an array of football players, fans and inspirational coaches, the spot features:

•New Orleans Saints running back, Alvin Kamara
•Houston Texans quarterback, Deshaun Watson
•Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey
•Houston Texans wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins
•Cleveland Brown wide receiver, Jarvis Landry
•Washington Redskins safety, Landon Collins
•New York Giants wide receiver, Sterling Shepard
•Los Angeles Rams running back, Todd Gurley
•The Los Angeles Bobcats (an all-female team)
•Rob Mendez, inspirational coach and Winner of 2019 ESPY Jimmy V. Award for Perseverance
•NFL Fans from teams including: Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets

Watch the :60-second spot, directed by Somesuch’s Stuart McIntyre, below:

The anthem is wonderfully filmed and really digs in deep as to how we football fans feel when the season is approaching.

Sooooooo, as I told a spokeswoman at 72andSunny, Reel 360 is a fan of the agency’s work. A big fan. That said, where are the Eagles? How do you have a football anthem and not one Eagle or for our sister pub, Reel Chicago, one Bear featured?

You get Reel Ad of the Week, 72. But we see you.
