Elton John has always seen the world through signature specs. From oversized rhinestones to outrageous shapes, his glasses aren’t just accessories—they’re part of the performance. Now, Sir Elton is turning that iconic flair into a full-fledged fashion statement with the Elton John Eyewear collection launch, available exclusively at Specsavers.
The Rocketman himself designed the range riffs on the songs we’ll be singing forever—offering bold, expressive frames with names like Tiny Dancer, Captain Fantastic, Seamstress, and Yellow Brick Road. Think splashes of color, glimmers of glitter, and dramatic twists on timeless silhouettes—all inspired by Elton’s journey from shy piano prodigy to global showman.
The launch film sees Elton playfully poking fun at his glam reputation, with husband David Furnish chiming in for lighthearted moments. And yes, the glasses really are wearable—Elton makes that clear in the campaign’s direct-to-camera spots.
But don’t expect feather boas or sequins (not this time, anyway). These frames are, as the campaign promises, “just the right amount of Elton.” Watch below:
“Elton John isn’t just a glasses wearer—he’s a glasses pioneer,” says Richard James, Global Creative Director at Specsavers. “This collection captures his spirit and style while staying accessible, wearable, and unmistakably fun.”
The campaign is one of Specsavers’ biggest global launches to date, rolling out across the UK and Northern Europe now, with Australia and New Zealand set to follow this summer. Backed by a robust PR push and major media buy across YouTube, billboards, print, social, and in-store, the collection is already generating buzz.
“Glasses have always been a big part of who I am,” Elton says. “This collection is about helping people feel fantastic and express their individuality. I want everyone to find a pair they love—and make them their own.”
