Well, look who’s back.

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Shane Black’s (Iron Man 3, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang The Nice Guys) reinvention of The Predator on Thursday, unleashing an upgraded version of the alien species that once tussled with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The short teaser gives a glimpse into the film’s plot, which sees a young boy (Jacob Tremblay) accidentally trigger the alien hunters’ return to Earth. The video sees Tremblay open a box of alien artifacts that his father, played by “Logan’s” Boyd Holbrook, came back with after a very far-off expedition. The trailer then shows quick cuts of the Predator tearing through some kind of jungle, interspersed with Olivia Munn describing the re-imagined aliens: “They’re upgrading on every planet they visit.” Watch the trailer below:

In the original Predator movie that was released in 1987. Did you know Black played one of the first characters killed?

I do hope this turns out more like Fox’s Planet of the Apes reboots as opposed to the mess they call Prometheus/Alien.

The Predator hits theaters on September 14 and stars Holbrook, Tremblay, Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Sterling K. Brown and Keegan-Michael Key.
