Marvel Studios has officially unveiled the fourth and final theater-exclusive teaser for Avengers: Doomsday, spotlighting a surprising crossover between Wakanda, Talokan, and the Fantastic Four.
The teaser, which first leaked online last week before playing exclusively in theaters alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash, opens on Shuri moving through a barren, desert-like landscape alongside King M’Baku and the Dora Milaje. A voiceover from Shuri sets the somber tone: “I’ve lost everyone that matters to me. A king has his duties, to prepare our people for the afterlife. I have mine.”
The footage then reveals Namor and Namora, suggesting that Talokan, also known as Atlantis, has either been displaced into The Void or left exposed by the draining of the world’s oceans. The teaser’s standout moment arrives when the Wakandans come face to face with the Fantastic Four’s Thing, confirming that the character has somehow crossed into Earth-616 from Earth-828. Fans are already speculating that the Thunderbolts post-credits scene may explain the dimensional jump.
The preview closes with a title card reading, “The Wakandans and The Fantastic Four Will Return in Avengers: Doomsday,” followed by an updated countdown clock. Watch below:
While Marvel is not expected to release additional teasers following this fourth installment, industry chatter points to a full trailer debut during the Super Bowl next month, one that may finally offer a clearer look at Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.
Marvel’s marketing strategy for Avengers: Doomsday has been anything but traditional. The campaign began with a four-hour cast reveal and continued with teaser “stories” released only in theaters, allowing social media buzz and leaked clips to fuel online conversation.
Sharing the final teaser on Instagram, directors Joe and Anthony Russo emphasized the intent behind the rollout: “What you’ve been watching for the last four weeks are not teasers. Or trailers. They are stories. They are clues. Pay attention.” They signed off with a new hashtag: #DoomsdayHasBegun.
Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Paul Rudd, Winston Duke, and Robert Downey Jr., with additional appearances from Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Wyatt Russell, and several legacy X-Men actors including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Rebecca Romijn. Chris Evans is confirmed to return as Steve Rogers.
Directed by the Russo Brothers from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with additional writing by Michael Waldron, Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027. Can. Not. Wait.
