Loki is time-slippin’ in Season 2 trailer

Today, Disney+ unveiled an exciting new trailer and poster to mark the forthcoming second season of Marvel Studios’ hit series, Loki.

Following its immensely successful first season, which garnered the title of the most-watched Marvel Studios series on Disney+, the second season promises to take viewers on a fresh and thrilling journey as it immerses the infamous God of Mischief in a new array of adventures alongside the TVA (Time Variance Authority).

In the climactic moments of the first season of Loki, the God of Mischief, played by Tom Hiddleston, finds himself trapped in an alternate timeline where Kang the Conqueror, portrayed by Jonathan Majors, openly rules over the Time Variance Authority (TVA). This revelation leaves viewers wondering about the fate of the beloved characters and the direction the show will take in its second season.

The closing scenes show Loki time-slipping, hinting that he may land in various alternate timelines, adding an element of uncertainty about the Mobius character, played by Owen Wilson. While it’s unclear if this is the same Mobius we got to know in the previous season, there are indications that it might be the case based on interactions with other characters.

Renslayer, portrayed by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is shown to be on a quest to find Kang the Conqueror, adding to the intrigue and complexity of the storyline. Furthermore, a kaiju-sized version of Miss Minutes, the quirky TVA mascot, is seen roaming freely, adding an unexpected twist to the chaos.

Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino, has seemingly created a new life for herself, and it appears that much of Loki’s next season will revolve around the protagonist’s efforts to save the TVA and Earth-616, as the Sacred Timeline spirals out of control.

Although various statues and paintings depict Kang the Conqueror’s image, only a glimpse of the villain (Jonathan Majors) is seen through his Victor Timely Variant. This teaser leaves fans eagerly anticipating the emergence of the formidable antagonist in the upcoming season.

The one thing that becomes apparent is that war is imminent, and the consequences of the Sacred Timeline’s disruption will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in the show’s second season, promising an action-packed and thrilling continuation of the Loki saga. Watch below:
