We love bathroom humor over here at Reel 360 News. While we are adults phyiscally, we are mentally around 15. Maybe our publisher, a little older, is around 16. Well, Liquid Death has conquered water, sparkling water and soda. Now it’s coming for your butt.
Yep, we love it.
The beverage brand has teamed with goodwipes for one of the stranger collaborations of the summer: limited-edition flushable wipes made with Liquid Death Mountain Water and inspired by the scent of its sCREAM Soda.
And because apparently scented wipes weren’t enough, the brands are supporting the launch by giving one person their very own “Buttler.”
Guess Natalie Harp wasn’t available.
“The Buttler Sweepstakes” offers one winner a fully trained, live-in, tuxedo-clad Buttler whose job is exactly what the name suggests: personally wiping the winner’s butt with Liquid Death x goodwipes sCREAM Soda wipes.
The collaboration, negotiated by partnership agency SonderCo, goes beyond simply slapping Liquid Death branding on a package. The brands reformulated goodwipes’ signature product with Liquid Death Mountain Water and a sCREAM Soda-inspired scent, plus aloe and vitamin E.
The unlikely pairing is built around what the brands are calling a shared “Death to Dry” philosophy. For Liquid Death, that means eliminating dry mouths. For goodwipes, it’s about eliminating dry wiping.
We’ll let you connect those dots.
“We believe hydration shouldn’t stop at your mouth,” said Liquid Death VP of Creative Andy Pearson. He added that combining goodwipes with Liquid Death Mountain Water and the scent of one of the brand’s sparkling waters should make consumers “feel #1 at #2.”
Of course it should.
The Buttler concept comes to life in a brand film co-created by the two companies and produced in-house by Liquid Death. The spot features the aforementioned tuxedo-clad professional offering his extremely specialized services in a send-up of over-the-top infomercials, with the creative inspired by Saturday Night Live’s classic Happy Fun Ball parody. “Consumers deserve better than dry, outdated experiences,” said goodwipes SVP of Marketing Meredith Diehn. “From what you drink to how you wipe, the standard has always been too low.”
Diehn said the partnership brings goodwipes’ skincare-inspired approach together with a brand equally interested in disrupting its category’s conventions.
“This collab was always destined to happen,” she added. “It just needed the right excuse, the right product, and one exceptionally classy ‘Buttler.’”
The limited-edition wipes launched exclusively at more than 4,000 Walmart stores nationwide and are expected to remain available through January 2027.
Meanwhile, the Buttler Sweepstakes runs through August 31.
So if you’ve spent your entire life thinking, “I have a good career, a decent home, and people who love me, but something is still missing,” perhaps we’ve finally identified the problem.
You don’t have a Buttler.
