Rep. Lauren Boebert is facing new scrutiny after campaign finance filings raised questions about whether she used donor money to attend a Kid Rock event earlier this year.
A report published Wednesday by the Daily Beast details expenditures that appear unrelated to campaign activity. Records show that three days after Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo performance at the Professional Bull Riding Championship World Finals at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Boebert spent $2,455.83 at the “Live by Loews” hotel in Arlington. Filings also list a $925 charge for “event tickets” at AT&T Stadium.
If the spending were tied to attending Kid Rock’s event, it would violate federal campaign finance rules, which prohibit using donor funds for personal benefit.
Trisha Calvarese, a Democrat running against Boebert in 2026, told the Daily Mail the expenses are “even more proof she needs a new job.” Eileen Laubacher, another Democratic challenger, said, “Americans are tired of the circus they’re seeing from Washington, with politicians spending more time focusing on flying around going to concerts than passing solutions to lower costs.”
Rumors about Boebert and Kid Rock dating circulated earlier this year after the pair were seen talking at one of former President Donald Trump’s second inauguration parties. TMZ reported they later left together in a cab around 2:30 a.m., describing Boebert as “totally transfixed” during their interaction.
Both recently ended long-term relationships. Boebert finalized her divorce in October 2023, while Kid Rock ended his engagement to Audrey Berry in February.
