Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Knorr and Tinder have teamed up to help singles turn up the heat—in the kitchen and on their dating profiles. Their latest campaign, #UnlockYourGreenFlag, encourages users to add cooking as an interest on Tinder, as new research reveals that culinary skills make a person more attractive to potential matches.
Dating today is tougher than ever, with 91% of men and 94% of women agreeing that finding love has become more difficult, according to Tinder’s latest Green Flag Study. But one universal green flag that can boost someone’s dating profile? Cooking.
According to the study:
- 93% of Gen Z say cooking makes a person more attractive.
- 56% see it as a sign that someone cares.
- 55% view it as a mark of independence.
- 52% believe it shows thoughtfulness and the ability to care for others.
For those looking to increase their Tinder matches, adding cooking to their profile could improve their chances—as 63% of singles say they are more likely to swipe right on someone who can cook. Meanwhile, 28% won’t even consider dating someone who lacks kitchen skills. Watch below:
