Fairy Butt Mother. Say it out loud. Sounds a little weird, right? But in the latest Skims ad, Kim transforms into a shapewear-wielding, sparkle-spewing, butt-boosting fairy godmother. And honestly? It might be the part she was born to play.
Kim pops up in a very relatable scene: a woman flops onto a yoga mat, exasperated with the sheer effort of modern self-care. The Kardashians’ star pops up in a very relatable scene: a woman flops onto a yoga mat, exasperated with the sheer effort of modern self-care.
“I know I should work for the body I want… but I just CAN’T. I’m eating protein. I’m drinking water. I do skincare. I’m cold-plunging. I work AND socialize! Can’t there just be one thing in life that’s easy?”

Cue the wand flick, the skintight shapewear transformation, and a full-on booty glow-up. Skims shapewear: Because working for curves is hard, but sucking it all in doesn’t have to be. Watch below:
“I love being able to push boundaries and bring humor to our campaigns,” Kardashian shares. “We love showing how looking and feeling your best should be as simple and easy as putting on Skims.”
This isn’t the first time Kardashian has sprinkled humor into Skims’ marketing. The campaign, penned by Michelle Wolf and directed by Ben Carey, follows their viral “Ultimate Nipple Bra” ad—totally uncontroversial and not at all the subject of any online discourse (wink).
Between floating in orbit for Skims last year and her Beats by Dre rap battle with Jimmy Fallon, KK has been proving she’s got jokes. Maybe SNL wasn’t a fluke after all?
Skims, which Kim co-founded six years ago, has skyrocketed into an empire, with shapewear, loungewear, and even menswear taking over Hollywood closets. And if the Fairy Butt Mother has anything to say about it, the brand’s latest drop—The Ultimate Butt—will be disappearing from shelves faster than you can say Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Booty.
