Address Point, the new service created by JWT Folk for An Post, has won at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

As one of only two Irish agencies to win at the prestigious festival this year, it is a statement of intent for the Folks in Northumberland Road who only opened the doors to the new agency a little over a year ago.

The ground-breaking initiative was recognized at Cannes for its innovation in bringing a brand’s purpose to life, receiving a Bronze Lion in the Sustainable Development Goals category.

The Address Point service provides the 10,000 people in Ireland who are homeless or living in temporary accommodation with a digital proxy, personal address linked to a local post office, giving them access to reliable communications, employment, education, health services and social services. Speaking of the win, joint managing director at JWT Folk, Enda Kelly, said: “Address Point was created to meet a very real need for the homeless of Ireland. And although we are incredibly proud to be recognized on the global awards stage, we are prouder to say that within the first 10 weeks since launch, the Address Point service has already been used by over 1,000 people, 10% of the country’s homeless.”

She adds, “A figure that we are passionate to increase further in the coming months working closely alongside our partners at An Post.”
