Joy Kilpatrick signs with PRETTYBIRD UK

Joy Kilpatrick

PRETTYBIRD UK is adding director Joy Kilpatrick to its roster, extending her representation internationally alongside the company’s U.S. arm.

Already a sought-after commercial director in the States, Kilpatrick has built a reputation for blending elevated visual craft with emotionally grounded storytelling. Her work often explores the connection between people and food, bringing a human, intimate lens to the culinary space. She joins a growing UK roster that includes Nono Ayuso and Baloji.

Since signing with PRETTYBIRD US in 2023, Kilpatrick has directed campaigns for major brands including McDonald’s, Starbucks, and Waitrose. With a background in both documentary filmmaking and agency creative, her work carries a naturalistic, real-world sensibility that resonates with contemporary audiences. That approach is evident across projects for brands such as Häagen-Dazs, Chipotle, PepsiCo, Nestlé, KFC, Kraft, and Nespresso, where food becomes a vehicle for deeper emotional storytelling.

“From the moment we met her, her energy and curiosity stood out,” said Emily Rudge, Managing Director of PRETTYBIRD UK. “Joy brings a distinct perspective shaped by her background in art, design, and theatre. Her work is always rooted in human stories, and she has a real drive to push creative boundaries. We’re excited to build work together in the UK that connects on a deeper, emotional level.”

Kilpatrick called the move a natural next step. “I’m thrilled to be joining PRETTYBIRD UK,” she said. “Emily and the team have created a culture that champions bold, human storytelling with a real commitment to craft. It feels like an exciting new chapter, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow and create work that resonates.”

Based in New York, Kilpatrick has become known for her poetic, cinematic style and her ability to capture authentic, emotionally rich moments. Alongside her commercial work, she is now expanding into documentary projects, further broadening her storytelling range.

Reel 360 News wishes Joy the best of luck at PRETTYBIRD.
