Jenna Ortega proves she’s cut out for red carpets

Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega made a dramatic statement on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet, leaning fully into gothic glamour with a daring cutout gown that was impossible to ignore.

The Wednesday star earned her second nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series, following her first nod in 2023, and marked the moment with a look that blended theatrical edge and high-fashion confidence.

For the star-studded evening, Ortega wore an all-black, marching band-inspired gown by Dilara Fındıkoğlu, featuring padded shoulders, cascading beaded fringe, and bold side cutouts that framed her silhouette. She completed the look with diamond jewelry from Simone Jewels and towering platform boots, adding even more attitude to the ensemble.

Despite facing stiff competition in the category, including Selena Gomez and eventual winner Jean Smart, Ortega appeared poised and fearless, much like the characters she’s become known for playing.

“I look at red carpet and fashion shoots as different characters,” Ortega recently told Elle. “So then it becomes kind of fun for me to take myself out of it.”

Judging by the night’s response, she’s clearly cut out for it.
