Award-winning post-production house JAMM Visual has teamed up with director Dave Meyers and Havas London on Harman Kardon’s latest global campaign, delivering a visually rich spot that blends live action performance with ambitious visual effects.
The 60-second film centers on two people inside a city apartment who are suddenly overtaken by music. As Harman Kardon’s Aura Studio 5 fills the room with sound, the pair sprout wings and lift off, dancing freely through the space like moths drawn to a flame. The spot taps into music’s instinctive pull and its ability to spark human connection, using movement and flight as a metaphor for emotional release JAMM LDN PR for Harman Kardon J…. Watch below:
Produced as a studio-based shoot to support wire-assisted performances, the project gave JAMM and the production team precise control over lighting and camera movement. The goal was to create a natural nighttime, blue-hour atmosphere that could later be extended digitally into a full cityscape. The final film blends live action and VFX across more than 40 shots, with many environments built or enhanced in post.

Louise Unwin, JAMM’s Executive Producer, recalls, “We were thrilled to collaborate with Dave. And equally excited to reconnect with Ben and Johnny from Havas, both of whom our Creative Director, Alex Lovejoy, and I worked with last year on Mobil.”
To jump-start the visual effects process, JAMM worked closely with production designer Will Htay ahead of the shoot, pre-visualizing key sequences to lock in shot design, camera moves, and timing. The team also developed practical solutions on set, including 3D-printed “wing buds” placed on the performers’ backs to establish precise attachment points and improve CG tracking. Extensive witness-cam footage was captured to ensure accurate motion reference for the animated wings JAMM LDN PR for Harman Kardon J….

While practical wings were built for reference, the final versions were crafted and enhanced digitally. JAMM’s artists focused on giving the wings natural weight, bend, and drag, matching their movement to the performers’ energy. Hand-animated keyframes were layered with simulation work to achieve a fluid, organic feel rather than an overly stylized look.
The VFX work extended beyond the wings themselves. JAMM integrated the effects into the apartment environment by digitally replacing set elements like plants and animating them to react to displaced air as the characters moved through the space. The opening shot features a fully digital cityscape created using a hybrid approach that combined matte painting, procedural CG buildings, and proprietary traffic tools JAMM LDN PR for Harman Kardon J….

Throughout the main apartment sequence, the team handled extensive wire and rig removal, interior alterations, including the addition of a ceiling, and background extensions to create the illusion of height and depth. The closing shot pulls back from the apartment into a wider city view, with surrounding buildings and dancers created mainly in CG.
Color grading played a key role in tying the visuals together. Renowned colorist Jess Jinx collaborated closely with Meyers early in the process to establish a consistent palette, ensuring seamless integration between live action, CG, and visual effects. The approach proved so effective that Meyers has already expressed interest in working with Jinx again on future projects, JAMM LDN PR for Harman Kardon J….
According to the teams involved, the campaign’s success came down to close collaboration and a shared creative vision among JAMM, Havas, RadicalMedia, and Harman Kardon. The result is a visually immersive spot that leans into emotion and movement, reinforcing the brand’s connection to sound as a transformative experience.
Adam Henderson, Production Lead at Havas, shared, “JAMM were incredibly collaborative from day one – they understood our tricky brief, brought great vision to every decision, and approached the project with real hunger and care – making the budget work without ever compromising quality. And are just genuinely lovely people to work with.”
JAMM Co-founder Asher Edwards added, “The London team and Jess have done a fantastic job and I’m looking forward to seeing them continue to grow from strength to strength in the near future!”
