Whether you’re a “May the force be with you” or a “Live Long and Prosper” kind of fanboy or girl, who wouldn’t relish the thought of seeing Luke Skywalker meet up with Admiral Picard? Wish granted. Uber Eats has combined the two universes in a hilarious new spot that features actors Mark Hamill and Sir Patrick Stewart.
The Star Wars and Star Trek legends come together and face off on the same screen, while social distancing. The pair approach each other in a darkened warehouse. Hamill doesn’t wield a lightsaber, choosing a baseball bat instead. Stewart has eschewed a phaser for a… wait for it… cricket bat.
“Tonight, I’ll be eating a veggie cheeseburger on ciabatta, no tomatoes,” says Hamill, 68. Remaining as stoic as ever, Stewart, 80, replies: “Tonight, I’ll be eating four-cheese tortellini with extra tomatoes,” emphasizing the elongated “a” in his English accent.
“Stewart, so it’s come to this,” says Hamill, before their food arrives and interrupts the scene. Not to be deterred, the pair then raise their weapons. The Picard star responds, “Careful Hamill, daddy’s not here to save you” (as Darth Vader references go, there’s no denying that’s a good one).
A furious Hamill retorts with, “Oh, I am my daddy!” leaving both of the actors equally confused. And leaving me laughing my ass off. Watch below:

This spot comes shortly before tickets for The Empire Strikes Back‘s re-release go on sale. It’s hard to gauge interest in going to the theaters and seeing it during a pandemic and when it’s available on Disney+.
But this spot is worth the rewatch.
