It’s Clashmania as WWE superstars invade Clash of Clans

WWE Clash of Clans

Just in time for WrestleMania 41, WWE and Supercell’s Clash of Clans are joining forces for a power-packed crossover campaign that’s dropping bodies—and Easter eggs—throughout April.

Developed by DAVID New York, the campaign marks one of the most ambitious brand integrations in Clash of Clans’ history, transforming WWE Superstars into in-game heroes while building toward an electrifying live event activation during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Leading the charge? Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who gets an epic reimagining as the Barbarian King. The twist? Rhodes has been playing Clash under the username “OverlordRhodes” for nearly a decade—and he’s ranked in the top 10% of players globally.

“As OverlordRhodes, I don’t defend, I conquer,” said Rhodes. “This isn’t about playing fair in the ring—it’s about ruling the battlefield.” In a slick live-action trailer, fans see a darker side of the American Nightmare as he preps for pixelated domination, while fellow Superstars step into their own digital personas:

  • Rhea RipleyArcher Queen
  • The UndertakerGrand Warden
  • Bianca BelairRoyal Champion
  • Rey MysterioMinion Prince

A First-of-Its-Kind In-Game Takeover

Fans can now engage with Clash of Clans WWE-themed events, custom environments, and unlockable cosmetics, all while spotting nods to WWE lore. The month-long event is capped by a sponsored match at WrestleMania 41, creating a rare in-and-out-of-game collision of fandoms.

“When we found out Cody and other Superstars were real fans of the game, this became a dream partnership,” said Sara Bach, Head of Live Games at Supercell. “This is the biggest crossover we’ve ever done—digitally and live on the WrestleMania stage.”

Built for Fandom

DAVID New York CCO André Toledo noted that the campaign was designed with deep authenticity in mind.

“This isn’t just marketing. It’s a genuine crossover between two universes that fans are passionate about,” said Toledo. “We wanted to celebrate Cody’s ruthless Clash alter ego—and surprise fans with how personal this partnership really is.”

The WWE x Clash of Clans takeover is live now across mobile platforms and will continue through WrestleMania 41 weekend. Whether you’re building villages or body-slamming giants, one thing’s clear: the ring has expanded—and everyone is getting in on the fight.
