‘IT: Chapter Two’ releases terrifying new trailer

I don’t think I want to go to a funhouse ever, ever again.

While Warner Bros. has opted out of a presentation at Hall H, the studio is still making an impact on the throngs of genre fans and media attending San Diego Comic-Con.

Wednesday, the studio released the second trailer for the upcoming sequel to its 2011 hit, IT. While the first trailer was more of an appetizer with an extended clip and random bits of footage, this new 2:34-minute trailer gives horror fans all we could want and more

Packed full of never before seen footage, we see that Pennywise the Clown has been biding his time and plotting revenge for the past 27 years. Now, he’s ready to abuse and terrorize the adult Losers’ Club in ways they could never comprehend. Watch the trailer which has almost 4m views:

Star Bill Skarsgard, who plays a clown that would even terrify The Joker, says, “He’s scarier and he’s angrier. There’s a couple of very brutal things in the film.” The funhouse sequence does look brutal as it looks like Pennywise is going to kill a young boy in front of an adult Bill, played by James McAvoy.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, IT: Chapter Two brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

IT: Chapter Two will star Bill Skarsgard, James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Wyatt Oleff.

The horror sequel hits theaters on September 6, 2019.
