Ironheart will follow the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Ironheart
(Dominique Thorne will make her debut Friday)

After three weeks of filming in Chicago, Disney+ and Marvel Studios’ Ironheart wrapped production. Now, a new interview says that Riri Williams’ adventures will pick up right after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

While speaking with CinemaBlend, producer Nate Moore spilled the tea on how an  Ironheart TV series came about.

“That show is an outgrowth of how much we liked her in this movie and even on the page,” Moore shared. “So, when we talked with [Dominique Throne] initially, obviously the character had been written to the script and she was the one and only person we talked about for the role. When she said yes and we were down the road with the script, we also started talking with [Ryan Coogler] about what the show could be.”

REELated:

“So, the show is a direct sequel to the movie,” Moore noted. “And [Riri Williams] is carrying the experiences she had in this movie back home to MIT. And there are some interesting repercussions to her adventures that will set her on a fun course.”

We now suspect that Riri’s time in Chicago will be her going home to tell of her adventures in Wakanda.

In Ironheart the titular hero will face the demonic Hood and possibly even Mephisto (Sacha Baron Cohen) himself. Hopefully, we will see how Tony Stark inspired her.

We will know more this Friday when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters.
