Inside Out 2 unfolds as Riley, now a newly minted teenager, witnesses the sudden demolition of headquarters to make way for the unexpected arrival of new Emotions. The original cast of emotions, Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale), and Disgust (Liza Lapira), who have been successfully managing Riley’s inner world, find themselves grappling with the introduction of Anxiety. Director Kelsey Mann sheds light on the upcoming addition, noting that Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, is set to bring a fresh dynamic to the headquarters of emotions. “Anxiety might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” explains Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”
