Sound and music studio, Heavy Duty Projects, has announced the promotion of Zach Pollakoff and Dylan Bostick to partners. The move expands the company’s creative leadership across the U.S. and further solidifies its reputation for culture-shaping audio that fuses artistry with innovation.
“Zach and Dylan have been at the heart of Heavy Duty since day one,” said Kate Urcioli, Founding Partner and Managing Director of Heavy Duty Projects. “They’re not just exceptional producers — they’ve redefined how music can move people and set the tone for our company culture. Making them partners is both a natural and exciting evolution.”
An Emmy Award–winning Executive Creative Producer and Music Supervisor, Pollakoff joined Heavy Duty eight years ago after his tenure as VP/Senior Music Producer at Grey Group New York. His work has been instrumental in shaping the studio’s creative voice and global presence.
Meanwhile, Bostick, Heavy Duty’s West Coast Executive Creative Producer and Music Supervisor, has led some of the company’s most ambitious projects over the past decade, pushing the sonic and emotional boundaries of branded music.
Defining Work
Pollakoff’s recent highlights include the Fred Armisen–directed Super Bowl spot for Verizon, a genre-bending mashup of Lou Reed, Run-DMC, Aerosmith, and Loretta Lynn for Johnnie Walker, and Adweek’s #1 Holiday Campaign for Etsy, which reimagined Lalo Schifrin’s Mission: Impossible theme.
Beyond advertising, he’s also co-founder of the indie label Twosyllable Records and the creative conference Likeminds, both platforms for emerging artists and fresh creative collaboration.
Bostick’s credits include original music for Netflix’s hit series Beef, a Gatorade tribute to Serena Williams featuring Beyoncé, and collaborations with Google, Adobe, and Expedia. He’s also produced for Disney’s The Muppets Mayhem (whose soundtrack debuted at #1 on Billboard), and earned a Guild of Music Supervisors Award for his work on the video game Saints Row. A composer and multi-instrumentalist himself, Bostick brings an artist’s empathy and instinct to every project.
Together, Pollakoff and Bostick’s work has been honored by Cannes Lions, Clios, AICP, AMP, D&AD, Adweek, and Fast Company, underscoring Heavy Duty’s creative impact across advertising, entertainment, and culture.
“Heavy Duty has built something special, not just great music, but culture-pushing moments,” said Bostick. “As a partner, I’m excited to help expand that foundation and explore new intersections of music and storytelling.” “I’m proud to be part of a company so deeply embedded in the zeitgeist,” added Pollakoff. “As we grow, I’m eager to keep developing creative music solutions for a broader, more global audience.”
“Zach and Dylan embody the collaborative, fearless spirit that defines Heavy Duty,” said Josh Kessler, Founding Partner and CEO. “Their promotion ensures the next chapter of our story is guided by leaders who live and breathe our creative values.”
Pollakoff and Bostick will continue to be based in New York and Los Angeles, respectively, with Bostick also represented by Royal Budapest in Europe.
