GUT has announced the opening of its ninth location, GUT New York. This marks the agency’s third U.S. office, alongside its Miami and LA locations.
The new office will be led by managing director Gus Marmarinos, a Saatchi & Saatchi veteran, and chief creative officer Lucas Bongioanni, previously with The Community. Both leaders will report to GUT US CEO Sandra Alfaro.
The New York branch will serve key clients including AB InBev, Procter & Gamble, and Kraft Heinz. The launch strengthens GUT’s footprint in the U.S. and follows the successful opening of GUT Madrid earlier this year.
“Opening our doors in New York is more than just a milestone; it’s a dream come true,” said Alfaro. “Gus and Lucas bring the perfect mix of experience and talent to help us build on our extraordinary momentum in the market.”
Meet the Leadership Team
Gus Marmarinos joins GUT after 22 years at Saatchi & Saatchi, where he worked with major brands such as Cheerios, Olay, and Tide. A veteran of the industry, Marmarinos has won multiple awards at prestigious festivals, including Cannes Lions and Effie Awards. “It’s a rare honor to launch a New York office for a celebrated global creative agency,” he said. “I’m excited to partner with world-class marketers and a talented team to deliver shared growth and success.”
Lucas Bongioanni, known for his work with brands like Volkswagen, Netflix, and Oreo, comes from The Community, where he helped the agency win accolades such as Adweek and AdAge’s Multicultural Agency of the Year. His creative leadership has earned him international recognition, including Cannes Lions and Clio awards. “I’ve admired GUT’s growth and evolution over the past six years, and I’m thrilled to help bring their brave creativity to New York,” said Bongioanni.
