Gracie Abrams wears custom GapStudio gown

Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams, one of the most compelling voices of her generation, took the stage at Outside Lands in a custom GapStudio gown designed by Zac Posen, Gap Inc.’s Executive Vice President and Creative Director.

Abrams, fresh off her Grammy win for Best New Artist and the release of her critically acclaimed sophomore album, has become known for pairing intimate, emotionally resonant performances with striking, often romantic stagewear. Posen’s custom design underscored her rising status as both a musical and style icon, blending couture-level craft with a sense of effortless wearability.

Crafted in vieux rose silk crepe de chine, the blush-pink gown was designed to move fluidly with her body, featuring a deep V-neckline and intricate pleats and twists that sculpted a soft, ethereal silhouette. An airy silk cape, fringed for added movement, veiled the open back and flowed in rhythm with Abrams’ performance.

The look embodied the GapStudio ethos, expert tailoring, intricate detailing, and a modern interpretation of American style, reflecting the brand’s evolving fusion of fashion, art, and creativity.

“I’m honored to be dressing Gracie Abrams for this special performance in Gap Inc.’s hometown of San Francisco,” said Posen. “It’s always been an exciting part of my career and my continued work at Gap Inc. to recognize and dress the next generation of great artists and icons of influence.”

As part of Gap Inc.’s commitment to showing up in the city’s most meaningful cultural moments, the brand also hosted The Hoodie House, a festival activation inspired by community and self-expression, giving artists a platform to create and inviting festivalgoers to design one-of-a-kind pieces of their own.
