The Gerety Awards made their long-awaited Los Angeles debut with the first-ever LA Winners Cocktail, celebrating this year’s standout work and the creative leaders who pushed the industry forward.
Hosted by Sophie Gold, President of Eleanor, the event centered around a live Gerety Talk titled “The Industry Unplugged.” Moderated by Emma Kuli, Creative Director at Eleanor, the conversation cut through the usual industry polish and leaned into real talk about creativity today.
The powerhouse panel featured:
• Linda Knight, Chief Creative Officer, FlyteVu
• Diego de la Maza, Chief Production Officer, Deutsch
• Jordana Freydberg, Executive Producer, Biscuit Filmworks
• Lauren Smith, Chief Creative Officer, 72andSunny
Together, they unpacked the “north stars” that have shaped their careers, the creative highs and hurdles of emerging technology, and how brands can stay emotionally resonant in a world where audiences shift between global and hyper-local identities in an instant.
Supported by Ketchum, Reel 360 News, Dedalus VII, and SheSays, the evening underscored what sets the Gerety Awards apart: a celebration of creativity viewed through the female lens — bold, nuanced, and unafraid to challenge the industry’s comfort zones.
As a final highlight, winners in attendance received their Gerety Awards trophies, ending the night with a toast to LA’s unmatched creative energy, its collaborative spirit, and the voices shaping what’s next.
