The eighth annual French Riviera Film Festival has unveiled its official 2026 poster, a vibrant image created using AI technology from Night Cafe, as the festival approaches its early-bird submission deadline. The announcement was made today by festival co-founders Nicole Goesseringer Muj and Gotham Chandna.

“As we unveil this year’s AI-generated poster, we’re celebrating both the spirit of artistic innovation and the next chapter of short-form storytelling on the Croisette,” shares Nicole Goesseringer Muj. “Our 2026 edition continues to champion bold, independent voices from around the world, while embracing new technologies that are reshaping how films are imagined, produced, and experienced.”

Returning to the Eden Hotel and Spa in Cannes, the French Riviera Film Festival will again illuminate the Croisette during the Festival de Cannes, with the 2026 edition set for May 15–16. The boutique festival showcases short films and short-form content from more than 20 countries, with categories spanning drama, comedy, documentary, sci-fi and horror, animation, experimental, music video, micro short, activism, student, lifestyle, fashion, AI, and the newly added commercial category.

“With the addition of our new commercial category, we’re recognizing that impactful storytelling today also lives in branded content,” says FRFF executive producer Kate Elfatah. “From fashion films to campaigns with a social conscience, these creators are pushing the boundaries of what a short film can be.”

The festival will continue in a hybrid format, combining in-person screenings and events in Cannes with online access to finalist films, broadening FRFF’s global reach and industry visibility.

FRFF will also host the ninth annual Global Entertainment Showcase on May 16, bringing together international filmmakers, executives and creatives for a wide-ranging industry conversation. Additional speakers and programming details will be announced in the coming months.

Returning event partners include Eden Hotel and Spa, Bel-Air Fine Art, Indie Entertainment Media, Just Cinema, HoM Consulting and filmfestivals.com, all supporting the festival’s growing presence on the global circuit.

The early bird submission deadline via FilmFreeway is December 15, 2025. Submit here.
