Fitzco, part of BCG Worldwide, has named Chris Wallrapp as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 8. Wallrapp, who most recently served as CEO of Hill Holliday in Boston, brings more than a decade of leadership experience and a reputation for driving growth at agencies including Fallon, Carmichael Lynch, Y&R, and GSD&M.
Wallrapp’s move to Atlanta comes at a transformational moment for Fitzco. Founded in 1983 and reacquired by Dave Fitzgerald in 2020, the agency was acquired earlier this year by Burrell Communications’ new parent, BCG Worldwide. Since then, Fitzgerald has been serving as interim CEO while the agency conducted a national search.
“Chris loves this business — it’s his superpower,” noted Tara DeVeaux, CEO of BCG Worldwide. “He stood out not only for his track record but also for his energy and passion for advertising. He’s the right leader to take Fitzco into its next chapter.”
Wallrapp’s credentials include being named to Ad Age’s 40 Under 40 (2014) and Campaign US’s 40 Over 40 (2021). During his 14 years at Hill Holliday, he helped win more than 120 new business accounts, including Cadillac, Bank of America, Major League Baseball, Optum Health, and Kay Jewelers.
Calling the opportunity “a dream,” Wallrapp said, “The culture here is electric, and with Tara’s vision and BCG Worldwide in our corner, we have the kind of advantage that sets us apart in an industry changing faster than ever. It’s that combination of people and purpose that makes this moment so exciting for me.”
During his 14 years at Hill Holliday, Wallrapp led the agency to more than 120 new business wins, including those with notable clients such as Cadillac, Bank of America, Major League Baseball, Optum Health, and Kay Jewelers.
The agency was named an Ad Age Small Agency of the Year in 2022. Reel 360 News wishes Chris the best of luck at Fitzco.
