Ferragamo’s “Hug Bag” takes center stage in short film, The Affair

Ferragamo's

A woman. Her handbag. One luxurious secret. The Affair, directed by Matteo Mosterts and produced by Florence and Habitant for Ferragamo’s FW25 collection, reimagines passion and possession through the lens of the brand’s iconic Hug Bag.

The short film is a sultry portrait of love, betrayal, and obsession, a cinematic ode to elegance and emotional indulgence.

A phone rings. A lover’s voice. A woman, draped in luxury, lies: “I’m with the girls.” Then, turning to her handbag, she whispers, “He suspects nothing.” Told through fragmented vignettes of humor and heartbreak, The Affair captures the exquisite chaos of desire — and the enduring bond between a woman and her bag. Watch below:

The collab unites Ferragamo, Mosterts, and lead actress Natasha Dupeyrón in a sensuous creative dialogue that celebrates the sculptural allure of the Hug Bag. Every frame reflects the house’s timeless sophistication and emotional craftsmanship.

Shot entirely on location at the Downtown Mexico Hotel in Mexico City, the production transforms its setting into an intimate emotional landscape. Light, architecture, and atmosphere intertwine to mirror the heroine’s inner world — and the hotel staff themselves became part of the creative process, shaping both story and tone.

An international co-production between Florence (Los Angeles) and Habitant (Mexico City), The Affair was edited by Dakota Giglio at Church Edit and colored by Ryan Urzi at Ethos Studio, evoking the refined cinematic polish synonymous with Ferragamo: sensual, sophisticated, and timeless.
