Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos reunite for Squarespace

They’re back! Squarespace has revealed a second teaser for its upcoming Super Bowl LX spot, confirming a high-profile reunion between Academy Award winner Emma Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos, one of her most frequent and distinctive collaborators.

The spot, titled Unavailable, is created entirely in-house at Squarespace and marks Stone’s first-ever Big Game appearance. It continues a creative partnership that has already produced films including The Favourite, Poor Things, and most recently Bugonia, which earned Stone another Oscar nomination.

The teaser follows an earlier cryptic image released by Squarespace earlier this month: a solitary house perched on a rock, surrounded by open water. This new 15-second clip appears to bring viewers inside that unsettling structure. Shot in stark black-and-white, the film opens on a close-up of Stone, visibly shaken and on the verge of tears. The moment is intimate and claustrophobic, accompanied only by the crackle of a fire and her uneven breathing.

The camera then pulls away, returning to the isolated house as ominous strings rise alongside crashing waves and distant seagulls. The teaser ends with two words on screen: February Eighth — the date of Super Bowl LX. Watch below:

Posters released alongside the teaser reveal the film’s subheading: A Requiem of Unrepentant Anguish, signaling a darker, more cinematic tone than typical Big Game fare.

Squarespace has confirmed the full 30-second spot will air between the first and second quarters of the Super Bowl. The brand describes the ad as a “deeply human story” anchored by a clear call to action, continuing its long-standing approach to treating Super Bowl advertising as short-form cinema rather than traditional commercial storytelling.

The campaign reinforces Squarespace’s decade-long commitment to ambitious, brand-led creative at the Super Bowl. Previous Big Game collaborations have included filmmakers like Martin Scorsese and actors such as Adam Driver and Zendaya.

When the first teaser image launched, Squarespace chief brand and creative officer David Lee emphasized that philosophy, noting that the company’s creative DNA sits at the intersection of Silicon Valley, Madison Avenue, and Hollywood.

Last year, Squarespace partnered with Barry Keoghan on A Tale as Old as Websites, directed by Steve Rogers of Biscuit, supported by additional digital short-form content released ahead of the game.

With Unavailable, Squarespace appears poised to once again lean into mood, performance, and cinematic ambition, even on advertising’s biggest stage.
